Check Deny access only to folders whose names to deny users access to folders whose names meet the criteria. Access can be denied to folders which must start and end with specific characters, or which start or end with specific characters.

Folders to which users do not have access do not appear in users' windows. All files in any folder to which a user has access are visible.

Denial of folder access always takes priority. If a user is both allowed access and denied access to a folder, then that user is denied access, and will not see the folder.
